Trees bud and the wind whirls pinwheels as we celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day and the first day of spring. April blocks take up the theme of Easter, baskets, flowers, and traditional designs to delight the senses. May brings Mother’s Day, which you can commemorate with buds, blooms, and bouquets in a pleasing array of appliqué blocks. We cannot forget Memorial Day, which is honored with a patriotic block and a memory wreath. June takes our thoughts to weddings, so you’ll find blocks that feature love, diamonds, and romance. Observe Flag Day, the beginning of summer, graduations, and Father’s Day with any number of beautiful blocks. Enjoy our nation’s birthday with a wide assortment of blocks in red, white, and blue. For July, pinwheels and stars, ribbons, and houses are just a few of the offerings. In the lazy days of August, the cool breezes of a lake or the ocean remind us of fishing and sailing, and you’ll find a fun collection of blocks with bright fish and boats for a summertime feel. As summer draws to a close, September turns our thoughts to the changing of the leaves, migrating birds and flying geese, golden colors, and all that signals cooler weather. October days grow shorter, but there are many beautiful ways to capture this in blocks of leaves, fans, stars, and baskets. Of course, Halloween designs feature ghosts and pumpkin themes! Special tribute is given to Veterans Day in November, and Thanksgiving-themed blocks join golden hues with country roads and pine trees on the way to Grandmother’s house. December begins with the countdown to Christmas and features stars, wreaths, ribbons, and holiday colors. Blocks abound and the designs are varied for endless quilting pleasure as you anticipate celebrating with family and friends. The next page you should check is How to Use This CD |
