Slice Away the Corners Asymetrical Borders Triangle Tricks Diagonal Sets
We all have them - beautiful blocks that could be considered orphans. This workshop focuses on making those blocks the central focus in a one-block quilt. A variety of techniques will be considered as we work with setting options and fabric choices. I will have between 10 and 20 of my own One Block Wonder Quilts as examples.

What if you don't have an orphan block? Just bring 2-3 plain 12-1/2" muslin squares as practice units.
Fabric Requirements: bring one or several orphan blocks; several 1/4 yard cuts of fabric which complement each block, taking care to include light, medium and dark values; a variety of leftover strips (1" to 3" wide) in colors that complement the block; plain muslin squares to practice on (before attacking your block); one or two 8-1/2" x 11" pieces of freezer paper; paper for taking notes; basic sewing supplies.
