Method:
1. Pre-wash and iron all fabrics. Press all seams as you sew.
2. Always make a sample block before cutting an entire quilt.
Rotary Cutting
3. For each block, cut four dark 2" squares and five light 2" squares. Cut two each light and dark 3-7/8" squares and cut these squares in half on the diagonal to make four each light and dark triangles.

4. For sashings, cut eighty-one 3-1/2" setting squares (template C) from muslin; cut one hundred forty-four 3-1/2" x 8" sashing strips (template D) from cinnamon print..

Sewing
5. Referring to the Block Diagrams, piece a sample block. Piece sixty-four blocks for the quilt.
6. Sew eight block and sashing rows using eight pieced Churn Dash blocks and nine sashing strips (see diagram). Sew nine sashing and setting square rows using nine setting squares and eight sashing strips in each of these rows (see diagram). Alternate the sashing/setting square rows with the block/sashing rows to assemble the quilt top.
9. Make the quilt backing and batting 2" larger all around than quilt top. Layer quilt top, batting and backing and baste together. Quilt layers together.
10. Trim excess batting and backing even with quilt top. Cut 2" wide bias strips, press in half lengthwise. Pin raw edges of binding to raw edges of quilt, sew binding in place. Turn folded edge to back and blind stitch in place.
