Stars shine their brightest against an ebony black night sky. (And even in a SUNNY YELLOW SKY!) Vibrant stars in a traditional block against the solid black background - they seem to float in the heavens. Paper piecing the star points guarantees perfect points. Students do not have to have some familiarity with paper piecing; the units are so simple that even a beginner can master the stars!

Quick strip the center Nine Patch blocks; add the star points; simple secret to the floating sashing - and you're on your way to several blocks of your own Royal Star Quilt. The entire 16 block quilt as shown here cannot be finished in our class time, but you can make at least four blocks (with the rest to finish at a later sewing session). I will have several other setting options for a SMALL WALL QUILT, TABLE RUNNER and SMALL PROJECTS to inspire you. Pattern and handouts supplied. Limited to 20 students.
